Straighten your teeth without anyone knowing you’re having treatment
If you’ve been looking for a discreet way to straighten your teeth, you’ll probably be aware of Invisalign clear aligners. What you might not know is that there’s now another invisible alternative to braces: ClearCorrect aligners.
Just like Invisalign, ClearCorrect’s transparent aligners straighten your teeth practically invisibly, without the conspicuous metal wires or brackets of traditional braces. What’s more, in many cases ClearCorrect may be a more affordable clear aligner system.
Introduced in the USA in 2006, ClearCorrect is now available to our Brisbane patients at Wickham Terrace Dental.
How ClearCorrect works to straighten your teeth practically invisibly
The ClearCorrect aligner resembles a transparent, very thin sports mouthguard which fits precisely over your teeth. They’re custom-made for you from a very accurate 3D impression of your mouth.
ClearCorrect is a sequential aligner system, which means you’ll wear a sequence of different aligners over the course of your treatment. Every two to four weeks you’ll move on to the next aligner in the series, wearing it for at least 22 hours each day to adjust your teeth a little closer to their ideal position.
With ClearCorrect you can eat what you like, smile when you want, and clean your teeth normally simply by removing the aligners. It’s the effective, comfortable-to-wear, almost invisible alternative to traditional metal braces.
Your ClearCorrect treatment options
Our principal dentist Dr Andrew Teakle is a registered ClearCorrect provider. He is highly qualified to determine the ideal orthodontic treatment for your situation, whether that’s ClearCorrect, Invisalign, Fastbraces, or traditional braces.
If we decide together that you’re a good candidate for ClearCorrect treatment, the process is very straightforward. In our Brisbane practice Dr Teakle will take photos and 3D x-rays of your mouth to precisely capture the shape of your teeth. We then submit your prescription to ClearCorrect to have your aligners custom made.
Over your prescribed course of treatment you’ll wear your series of aligners, to gradually apply pressure just to the teeth to be moved. Dr Teakle will regularly check your progress and supply you with your new sets of aligners.
Similarly to Invisalign, ClearCorrect offers you three distinct teeth straightening options:
ClearCorrect Limited 6
Perfect if you need only minor adjustments, this series of six aligner sets works to treat your full arch of teeth.
ClearCorrect Limited 12
With 12 sets of aligners we can achieve a greater range of treatment, and can even revise the design of your aligners midway through your treatment with no additional fee.
As its name suggests, the Unlimited option supplies you with as many sets of ClearCorrect aligners as are needed to adjust your teeth to their ideal position. With an unlimited number of revisions to your aligners available over your three year program, Dr Teakle can continue to make recalculations and adjustments as your treatment unfolds to ensure the best end result.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does ClearCorrect treatment take?
Your treatment time will depend on which ClearCorrect option you and your dentist opt for. You’ll wear each aligner for about 2-4 weeks, which means the Limited 6 treatment will take around 3-6 months to complete. The Limited 12 option will take about six months to a year; and as its name suggests, the Unlimited ClearCorrect option uses as many aligners as necessary.
What problems can ClearCorrect address?
If you have misaligned or overcrowded teeth, gappy teeth, or bite problems such as an overbite, crossbite, open bite, or underbite, you could benefit from treatment with ClearCorrect.
Am I a candidate for ClearCorrect treatment?
While ClearCorrect is suitable for correcting a range of problems, it won’t necessarily be the best orthodontic treatment for your individual needs. The best way to find out if ClearCorrect is right for you is by making an appointment with Wickham Terrace Dental.
How much do ClearCorrect aligners cost?
ClearCorrect generally costs about the same or a little less than other orthodontic options. Of course, your actual costs will depend on which treatment option you choose, and the complexity of your treatment plan. Contact Wickham Terrace Dental to find out more.
Is ClearCorrect truly invisible?
Most people won’t notice your ClearCorrect aligners thanks to their thin construction and complete transparency. But while they’re much more discreet than metal braces, they are noticeable on very close inspection.
